Now that the back is glued to the body and the top is cut to it's rough shape, it's time to make and install the internal bracing.
The top has been made so that it extends all the way out the neck to the nut location. Cut that end of the top nice and square with the centerline. Now measure back from the nut end 13 1/2" and make a mark on the inside surface of the top. That mark is the nominal location of the saddle. Make the bridge plate, and dry fit it so that it will capture both the bridge locating pins and the string holes in the bridge. Mark that, and glue & clamp the bridge plate on.
While that is setting up, cut and shape the other braces for the top & back. When the glue on the bridge plate is set, glue the other braces in and weight them overnight.
Next: Glue on the top
If you find any of this helpful I'd certainly appreciate a "tip" :-)
